Well, a few more than that, but three blue natural ones on the first page of Google appearing for the search term ‘maternity coats’ this morning. The perfect garment for hiding some over exuberant Christmas Pie eating.

Google Local Search gets interesting again

Google and testing it’s SERP’s (Search Engine Results Pages) go hand in hand, and it seems not a day goes by at the moment that they aren’t putting something new infront of us.
Google local is one area that interests me as is a bridge between your local high street store and the wider community.
It appears that Google is testing moving their local map to above the rights hand sponsored (paid) listings and in the natural results placing some of the pin markers tieing into the map.

Are customers researching their purchases differently?

Google have recently released their findings from a study into the length of time that customers are now spending researching an online purhase and have com up with some suprising results.
Not only are consumers starting their research earlier than ever before, there appears to be a growing number of people leaving their purchases to the very last moment.
In the run up to Christmas, their research showed that 44% had already started their decision making process 4 months before the big day. But also that 14% had not even started their shopping with only 5 days to go!

iPhone v.s. Android – Round One (hundred?) – Fight!

So, I am an Android Phone user. I have the HTC Hero. A very good phone. People (of a non-technical persuasion) ask me what its like, and I say “Well Dave, its like an iPhone” as it is the closest thing I can imagine Dave will be able to reference.
